| The 19 633 square km (about 7 500 square miles)
Kruger National Park was proclaimed on 26 March
1898 and is still unrivalled in the diversity of its
fauna and flora. It is home
to an impressive number of species: 336 trees, 49
fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147
mammals. The route which we recommend departs
from Johannesburg and travels through historic towns,
stunning mountain passes and some of Africa's most
beautiful natural scenery. |
