Travel east along Route 62 with vineyards, orchards and mountains ever present. Pass through quaint little towns like Montague, Barrydale, Ladismith and Calitzdorp, the port capital of South Africa, to reach the ostrich centre of the world, Oudtshoorn. |

Enjoy the variety of attractions that the Little Karoo has to offer: An ostrich show farm; the Cango Caves;the historic Swartberg Pass with its unbelievable rock formations;the amazing Meiringspoort canyon and a gourmet dinner at a top restaurant. |

Mossel Bay, Knysna or Plettenberg Bay
We suggest you visit the Cango Wildlife Ranch before you leave Oudtshoorn, one of two premier zoos in Africa. Cross the Robertson Pass for a visit to Botlierskop, a private game park. Drive to your next longstay destination: Mossel Bay, or a 95 minute drive along the Garden Route, through the beautiful Lakes District and natural forests to Knysna or Plettenberg Bay. |
