The Bazaruto archipelago lies about 10km off the Mozambique coastal town of Vilanculos in the Indian Ocean. A subtropical haven of sun, sand and exotic sea life beckons you to its idyllic beaches. This is the perfect spot for nature lovers and watersports enthusiasts, especially fishing, snorkeling and water skiing. Legend has it that the Queen of Sheba's pearls came from Bazaruto. Accommodation is in luxurious A-frame thatched bungalows with views of the ocean. Daily scheduled flights are available from Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport and Maputo. You can also sail from Vilanculos to Bazaruto in a dhow, the traditional Arabian vessel.

Bazaruto:
Arrive at the airstrip, meeting and transfer to your lodge. Select from a wide choice of water sports activities - windsurfing, canoeing, paddling, scuba diving, fishing, snorkeling and boat excursions are all available. Your stay is inclusive of all meals as well as: all snorkeling at Coral Gardens, drop and collect at Dolphin Bay Beach, use of windsurfers, canoes and Hobie Cats with a rescue boat on standby, one free thirty minute water-ski lesson per stay, one free bodysurfing trip to Three Trees Beach per stay - with a qualified instructor on hand. |
