Enjoy the fabulously mild winter or sub tropical summer of Durban, South Africa's largest port and enjoy the Zulu culture found in the Natal Midlands.Travel the Midlands Meander where you can see Zulu crafts and culture in their home setting all leading to the majestic Drakensberg range with its mighty Amphitheatre, the spectacular Sani Pass and tumbling streams.Students of the Zulu- and Anglo-Boer wars will be enthralled by a visit to the battlefields including, Isandlwana and Spioen Kop where knowledgeable guides recreate a fascinating period of Kwa-Zulu Natal's history.Beach lovers can head for Umhlanga Rocks, a vibrant area just north of Durban or Margate, the popular south coast family resort. The World Heritage Site of St Lucia Reserve is a couple of hours drive up the north coast.
